Haha, ep9 just punched me right in the feels The DNA results hit and dude’s voice cracks: “She’s… she’s really mine.” The way he processes everything Scarlett went through — refusing the arranged marriage, getting suppressed by the Hayes family, while Summer gets called a “bastard” and “fatherless stray” at school — it broke me. You see all those quiet flashbacks of Scarlett alone: celebrating Summer’s 2nd birthday, taking her for ice cream after bullying, whispering “To the man who disappeared on us… I will never forgive you.” My chest hurt. Then he goes full dad mode: “I’m here now and no one will ever bully our daughter again.” The switch from cold Merchant to protective father is so damn good. This episode got emotional heavy and I’m not okay. Still low-budget but the heart hits different. I’m fully invested now. 9/10, ep10 better deliver some justice!
