pisode is basically the "daddy issues" episode and I mean that in the most affectionate way possible. Summer asking "Is he my grandpa?" and then "Daddy, is Grandpa here?" while bouncing around in her pink dress genuinely made my heart do things. And Connor going "I am way better looking than him" about his own father is SO on brand for this man lmao. The ego on him. But then Summer hits you with "But he really looks like Daddy" and suddenly it's not funny anymore, it's FEELINGS. The kid literally said "Two totally different worlds" and I'm like ma'am you are FOUR, why are you dropping thematic commentary right now?? And just when it's getting all warm and fuzzy, Connor screams "Summer, watch out!" and my stomach dropped. They really said here's your wholesome family pancake breakfast, now have some danger. This show does not let you breathe.
