The AUDACITY of this episode. We go from Connor — the world's most feared arms dealer — wearing an apron and making pancakes with his daughter to a breaking news alert saying "WORLD'S RICHEST MAN ARRIVES IN NEW YORK." The tonal whiplash in this show is genuinely insane and I kind of live for it. Him telling Summer "We're going to make a good pancake" while Scarlett's over there side-eyeing the food like "Compared to mine, whose are better?" is peak domestic chaos. And then his sister Lily shows up finding out she's an aunt for the first time?? Her reaction — "That's diabolically sweet" — is literally the perfect way to describe this entire series. Meanwhile some old guy's out here planning a charity gala packed with the city's elite and you just KNOW that's gonna blow up in everyone's face. This episode is the calm before the storm and it's making me anxious in the best way.
